It’ll soon be the time to lock up your daughters, as the vikings are coming! Draca Beorðor will be joining us again this year.
They are based in the Somerset area, and Draca Beorðor is a reenact ment group concentrating on the Viking Age. They take it seriously by researching and finding evidence from historical sources and archaeology from within the UK and Europe.
I believe the period referred to as the Viking Age dates from around AD 800 to 1050. The homeland of the Vikings was Scandinavia now known as Denmark, Sweden and Norway from there they mainly travelled by sea and settled in all parts of the UK and further afield.

The reenactment group Draca Beorðor portray the clothing of the Viking Age, the jewellery and utilities used during that period and the equipment used for fighting.
Come along on Saturday 5th July and discover the Viking Age as Draca Beorðor take over the Arena, put on a show and take up back in time.
