We are pleased to say that Taunton Military Wives Choir will be joining us again this year on Saturday 4th July.
Formation of the Military Wives Choirs celebrated 10 years in 2022.
Their story all begain in Catterick in 2010. This is where a Nicky Clarke and Caroline Jopp formed a choir with a group of military wives and girlfriends. At the time Nicky wrote to choirmaster Gareth Malone mentioning the benefits a choir could bring to military wives during their partners deployment to Afghanistan. The wives and girfriends would form friendships and the camaraderie helped with their health and wellbeing.
