On D‑Day, ordinary people stepped into extraordinary courage, crossing storm‑tossed seas and defended shores so that freedom might live. We remember not only the scale of their sacrifice, but the enduring lesson it leaves behind: that liberty is fragile, unity is powerful, and the cost of peace must never be forgotten.
We remember D‑Day to honour those who risked and gave their lives, to recognise the courage and cooperation that changed the course of history, and to remind ourselves that the freedoms we have today were hard won and must always be protected.
Lest We Forget
