The Taunton Sea Cadet Band are performing a range of music to start Somerset Armed Forces Day 2025 in style.

The official start to what has previously been described as the South-West’s largest FREE event. We proudly start Somerset Armed Forces Day 2025 with speeches from key representatives.

Chrystal Bliss is a classically trained female vocalist from North Somerset however she is not limited to this area and has travelled across all the South West. Following on from releasing Perfection her original album she has gone on to record 4 more albums.

Chrystal will be performing 2 musical sets at Somerset Armed Forces Day: Stage 1 at 10:30 and on stage 2 at 16:30.

Swing Dance Taunton is a Lindy Hop club set up by experienced dance teacher Andy Fleming.

Swing Dance Taunton will be performing 2 dance sets at Somerset Armed Forces Day: Stage 2 at 10:45 and on Stage 1 at 14:30.

Vintage vocal trio, The Liberty Sisters, is Clare Fairburn, Vikki Hewitt, and Helena Gater – or as they prefer to be known, Rose, Ruby and Dolly. You’re bound to know a few of the songs in their repertoire, and if you don’t, they’ll have you on your feet doing a boogie woogie (or tapping your feet at least), within minutes anyway.

The Liberty Sisters will be performing 2 musical sets at Somerset Armed Forces Day: Stage 1 at 11:15 and on stage 2 at 15:00.

Russell is a jazz swing artist who used to be a member of the Welsh choir ‘Only Boys Aloud’ who took part in Britain’s Got Talent in 2012 and were in third place.

Russel will be performing 2 musical sets at Somerset Armed Forces Day: Stage 2 at 11:30 and on Stage 1 at 14:00.

Paul Hannam aged 34 from Barnstaple, North Devon Is a British Stunt Entertainer who is best known for 12 years Quad racing in British and South West Enduro Championships, including the the infamous Weston beach race.

Paul has previously performed at several Somerset Armed Forces Day events and we are pleased to welcome him back for another performance this year. 

Paul will be performing in the Arena at 11:45 and again at 16:00.

Taunton Military Wives Choir connect women in the military community and create a support network through the power of singing.

Taunton Military Wives Choir will be performing 2 musical sets at Armed Forces Day: Stage 1 at 12:30 and on Stage 2 at 13:45.

Taunton Concert Band is a symphonic wind band that was started back in 1892 when it was known as the Taunton Town Band. Taunton Concert Band will be performing their outstanding repertoire on Stage 2 from 12:30.

Local Army, Navy & RAF Cadets will be demonstrating their military drill practice. The Cadets will be on parade in the arena from 13:00. 

Crown Independent Forces are a re-enactment group who formed in 1982. The Group demonstrate a the firing of muskets and canon. An exciting demonstration which is always a crowd pleaser.

A true spectacular and increasingly rare treasure to watch. We are truly honoured to be on the BBMF flight route. In previous Somerset Armed Forces Day shows we have seen Spitfire & Lancaster fly over.

A parade of selected military vehicles brought to Somerset Armed Forces Day. This is an opportunity to see a variety of vehicles and how they move.
