Formation of the Military Wives Choirs celebrated 10 years in 2022. Their story all begain in Catterick in 2010. This is where a Nicky Clarke and Caroline Jopp formed a choir with a group of military wives and girlfriends. At the time Nicky wrote to choirmaster Gareth Malone mentioning the benefits a choir could bring to military wives during their partners deployment to Afghanistan. The wives and girfriends would form friendships and the camaraderie helped with their health and wellbeing.
