A meeting of the committee was held last night at the HQ of SAFD and it’s volunteer Veteran’s Crew in Vivary Park.

On the agenda were various items such as organisation of equipment, marquee hire etc, and lots of admin stuff before we got to the good bits! Jason Hughes confirmed that this years big attractions are The Red Arrows and the Battle of Britain Flights and Squibb Freestyle Motocross Stunt Team!

What a treat we have in store for our visitors. We have lots of other attractions and displays throughout the day, so come for the day, bring a picnic and hang out with us all day long to get the very best out of the fantastic free fun day that is Somerset Armed Forces Day 6th July, 10am to 6pm in Vivary Park. We will be hearing from Blitz Time Sally, The Soldiers of Swing, seeing The West Country Tommies, Jittabugs Theatre School, The Association of Crown Forces (1776), Roger Blighty and many more, we have stalls, food vendors, bars and Tone FM on site to keep us all up to date with what is going on and when.

Remember that there is no parking on site, all visitors have to come into the park by foot, so park nearby and enter through one of the gates to the park to find us.
