TEK Military to sponsor Somerset Armed Forces Day 2022 championed by Deborah Meaden
TEK Military Seating Ltd is delighted to announce it is sponsoring Somerset Armed Forces Day 2022, to be held on Saturday 2nd July in the county town of Taunton, as one of the gold sponsors. Deborah Meaden (left) of Dragons Den fame, and well-known businesswoman, has agreed to be the Somerset AFD22 champion and will host the opening ceremony.
Somerset AFD22 is the biggest event of its type ever held in Somerset, with over 150 traders and displays from across the region taking part. There will be exciting performances including the Military Wives Choir, marching bands, historic re-enactments, flights by ‘Britain’s Rocket Man’ Richard Browning and many more. This free to attend community event is open to all and designed to allow the wider public to celebrate the contribution that our armed forces have made – and continue to make – to our country and local communities, many of whom have been supporting Covid centres and the NHS during such a difficult time.
TEK has a long association with the military, is a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, has several members of staff who are ex-military and continues to recruit veterans wherever possible.
Paul Fleming, CEO of the TEK Group, commented, ‘I am delighted to support this important event and reaffirm our backing to all those who serve on our behalf to protect our country. I, and we as a business, appreciate the sacrifices our service men and women make and it’s great to have the opportunity to acknowledge and thank them for all they do.’
