Somerset Armed Forces Day – 2 July 2022

Following the postponement of two previous Somerset Armed Forces Day celebrations we are delighted to be able to update you on some exciting news.

The organising committee of Somerset Armed Forces Day have applied for and been successful in becoming a community interest company (CIC)  – we are charity organisation, not for profit, this will enable us to gain the necessary funding for AFD22 and the other support work we undertake within the community.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Deborah Meaden, one of Somerset’s leading businesswoman, charitable supporter and TV personality has agreed to be our champion. Deborah will be helping us to raise the profile of the event. She will also be opening the event on the day. More details to follow shortly on the running order for the day. Pop this date in your diaries – Saturday 2 July 2022 – A fantastic family day out, with 100’s of stalls, side shows, displays. Lots to see and do! Plus, it is completely free to join in. We plan to grow this event year by year and make it the largest event of its type ever held in Somerset.
